Job Overview:
AA Euro Healthcare are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Relief Care Workers to join our well-established clients in Birmingham.
Hours:
We are looking for candidates who are flexible to work a variety of shift patterns which include Days, Evenings/ Weekends & Overnights.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor and report changes in clients` health or behaviour
- Implement behaviour management techniques as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (OR Equivalent) preferred
- Previous experience in patient care or senior care is essential.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and medication administration
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility
- Familiarity with home care practices and procedures
- Valid driver`s license with a clean driving record
